GET THE LOOK - 5 "LBD" HALLOWEEN OUTFITS

Halloween is just around the corner, and for you last minute scramblers we have some great ideas to make it easy for you to pull something together using an item you already own - your go-to LBD.

Check out the looks below for some spooky chic Halloween inspiration!
Halloween is often referred to as 'day of the dead' so why not make it into a costume? Try this tame day of the dead costume, skip the heavy makeup and opt for a face mask and cool skeleton gloves. Don't forget the floral headband!
For a remix on the vampire costume, why not try to mix it up with a cool leather jacket and of course your favorite sunnies!

Easy upgrade on a childhood cartoon, put your thigh high boots to good use with this Carmen Sandiego costume.
This costume is purrr-fect for a cool Halloween night. Pair with pretty lace ears and your favorite warm fur (faux) vest for instant cool cat.
Finally, what would the LBD without an homage to Breakfast at Tiffany's? Easy, chic and appropriate for the office, just don't forget the top knot!

FALL IN SAN FRANCISCO: APPLE HILL

I never realized some of the things I took for granted in New England when I was living back East. Traditional autumn activities like apple picking fall directly into that category. I had a hankering for some good old fashioned fall fun this weekend so my S.O. and I decided to make the 2 and 1/2 hour trek to what has been dubbed the best apple picking spot of the West - Apple Hill.

Doesn't my fall manicure go well with this apple?

An hour outside of Sacramento, Apple Hill is made up of over 50 farms and ranches filled with fruit orchards, breweries, tree farms, wineries and more. We came a little late in the season so unfortunately the u-pick farms were pretty bare, however I was not disappointing as I had more than my fill of apple cider, caramel apples and apple cider donuts.

I really, really like apple cider donuts.

We visited a few different stops along the way - my favorites being Abel's Apple Acres and Jack Russell Farm Brewery & Winery. Both locations had a slew of tents and booths set up with local vendors selling all different types of food, produce, jewelry, accessories and more.

For native New Englanders, Apple Hill will make you feel like you've taken a trip back East. And while nothing compares to home, Apple Hill makes a close second.

GET THE LOOK - FALL OUTFITS

Melissa's Favorite Fall Looks

Perfect for pumpkin picking or heading to the park, this look is comfy chic. A great way to play up a simple sweatshirt is by pairing it with fun pieces. Try throwing a parka over top and layering with a classic fall scarf. Embellished flats and oxblood jeans help add visual interest to the look.

A big fall staple for me are my boyfriend jeans. I love rocking a pair with my favorite gray ankle boots a striped top and fur vest on colder days. Yes, fur vest. I'm from Jersey, okay? A crossbody bag helps to keep the look casual.

Caroline's Favorite Fall Looks

Just because it's fall doesn't mean you should ban your mini skirts to the annex of your closet just yet.Transition your mini into a cozy fall look with tights, booties and a chunky sweater. Tie the look together with some leather and a statement necklace.

I love Western inspired accessories, especially a good pair of cowgirl boots. Pair them with your favorite jeans and a cozy sweater for the ultimate on the go look. For those chillier days, add a chunky knit infinity scarf to keep you warm.

DIY: TASSEL EARRINGS

Inspired by Refinery29's Luxe Tassel Earrings DIY, I decided to try making a set of my own this weekend and they are fabulous, if I do say so myself.

The final product resembles the $149 Club Monaco Rada Tassel earrings - but with a grand total under $15, this DIY has you going glam without the lofty price tag.

What you'll need:

Target Post Back Glass Stone Drop Earrings
2" Mini Tassels
Glue gun or Krazy glue

Step 1: Cut the strings attached to the top of your tassels just above the knot.
Step 2: Dab a small amount of glue to the back, bottom portion of your post earrings.
Step 3: Attach the tassels and hold for at least 30 seconds.
Step 4: Allow the glue to dry and voila! You have a brand new pair of earrings, thanks to the easiest DIY ever!

Would you try this DIY?

WHEN IN SAN FRANCISCO, DO AS THE SAN FRANCISCANS DO

It can be fun to be a tourist in your own city. I got a chance to do so this weekend when my parents visited for the first time since my move to the Bay Area! In a trip that seemed to pass by in the blink of an eye we managed to go wine tasting in Sonoma, bike ride over the Golden Gate Bridge, chow down on lobster rolls in Half Moon Bay and drive up the picturesque Pacific Coast Highway and famed Lombard Street in the city.

The weekend started with a trip to Sonoma for a wine and cheese tasting at Envolve Winery and some shopping.

We were blessed with some beautiful fall weather this weekend, giving me the perfect excuse to don my favorite go to outfit - a flannel top and riding boots. Since we were doing a lot of walking around and exploring outdoors, this outfit was the perfect mix of comfortable fashion.

Shirt: Forever 21/Mini Bubble Necklace: Urban Peach Boutique/Bag: Nine West/Jeans: Express/Riding Boots: Nine West

 Sunnies: J. Crew Outlet

My favorite part of the trip by far was our bike ride across the Golden Gate into Sausalito. Whether you're visiting the city for a weekend or have lived here for 20 years, this experience is a must for the views alone.

The one block section of the city, famous for it's hairpin turns, Lombard Street offers an incredible view of the city and some of the surrounding architecture.

I fell in love with the great state of California all over again. It was such a treat having my parents visit and we made some memories that will last lifetimes. Have you ever had the chance to be a tourist in your own city?

RENT THE RUNWAY - RADENRORO DRESS REVIEW

Girls, if you haven't heard of Rent the Runway yet, I highly suggest you check them out. RTR is an online membership where members get to rent and wear designer brand dresses without committing to a hefty purchase.

I was off to a wedding reception at a brewery in Philly so I wanted something fun, yet chic. This Radenroro Golden Leaf Teacup Dress (which normally retails for $450!) was a great option. The reviews on RTR stated that the dress is incredibly form fitting, and the length is very short - which was perfect for a very petite gal, ordering a last minute dress online!

What I really appreciated about ordering the dress was that the bold print launched me out of my comfort zone (black...and more black) and I felt like a mini Blair Waldorf. I didn't want to take away the beauty of the dress by going overboard with accessories, so I kept it to a minimum. I paired the dress with metallic earrings, a studded clutch I bought a long time ago from Forever21, black lace-up heels and picked a neutral color for my nails.

Ta-Da! What do you think?
