CATCHING FIRE FASHION INSPIRATION

This weekend I went to see Catching Fire, the second chapter in the Hunger Games story. As a reader who is quite possibly obsessed with the books, I loved the way the movies have brought the series to life. And of course, I couldn't help but get a little fashion inspiration...

Our girl Katniss is unstoppable and quite frankly, so is her wardrobe in the second film.
I'm in love with her cowl knit shawl, you can find similar ones online for purchase or if you're crafty, you can knit your own!

Aah Effie. Her style truly redefines outrageous.

However there are ways to channel your inner Effie for a modern day look that will wow.

 Again, over the top...

But we're sure Effie herself would approve of this butterfly inspired ensemble.

And a real treat for Hunger Games fans?

The threads Tributes wore while training are actually available for purchase. That's right, thanks to designer Lucas Hugh, you can look like a contender in the arena while you're killing it on the treadmill.

Which of these looks would you rock?

How amazing is this DIY mason jar chandelier?

We have four words for this necklace: give it to me.

These boots are perfect for transitioning from fall to winter weather

You know what we'll never get sick of? chocolate chip cookies.

 It's simple, really

INTERIOR STYLE - DINING ROOM

With Thanksgiving right around the corner and the first snowfall in New York today (we're jealous here in California), the holiday season is officially underway. We spend a good amount of time in these few months gathered around the table, enjoying family, friends, and of course, food. Whether you're hosting a large party or just want to spruce up your table for the holidays, we're loving brass accents, gold dinnerware and hints of the outdoors to bring a cozy elegance indoors.

FOUR FAVORITES - SF PICKS

I'm not gonna lie, I currently own 4 pairs of jeans and they all look basically the same (I'm a creature of habit). But with so many fun and chic options out there, I think it's time for a little wardrobe sprucing. For this season I'm digging bold patterns, dark washes and of course, leather.

2. Kendall and Kylie Faux Leather Paneled Jeans
3. Tinsel Studded Camo Print Skinny Jeans
4. Old Navy Rockstar Color Wash Jeans
